We are a friendly, caring ballet school established over 40 years, with classes taught weekly at Farthinghoe Village Hall.


All classes are taught by fully qualified Royal Academy of Dance Teachers with many years experience and who have also been CRB checked.

 

Royal Academy of Dance ballet classes are run weekly during the school term times.

Private classes are available by arrangement and classes are from the age of 3 years and upwards.

Pilates

Pilates is a wonderful and unique exercise, suitable for all ages and abilities.

 

The exercises are scientifically designed to improve strength, flexibility, endurance and core strength. Longer leaner muscles and better posture - restoring the natural curves of the spine and relieving back, shoulder and knee issues.  All without risking injury or building bulk.

 

The result: a balanced and realigned body that looks fit and moves with ease. Men are very welcome too - it's not as easy as you think!

Sylvie Essame Ballet

Adult Intermediate Ballet Classes run on Wednesday evenings, 7.30 - 8.45.

 

Our adult classes are not for absolute beginners, but if you have some dance experience then they might be for you: they are open to all ages and abilities.

 

Whether you have trained recently or last danced many years ago as a child, you will enjoy the opportunity to refresh your skill and keep fit in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

 

The school also holds dance exams and exam coaching sessions for children and students in the hall.

Iyengar Yoga

Banbury Village Iyengar Yoga brings yoga to you following the Iyengar Method. This method follows the syllabus set out by BKS Iyengar who concluded that working primarily on the physical body to develop strength and stamina would lead to stability with mobility throughout. 

 

Meditation in action is a keynote of the Iyengar system. Encouraging the mind to focus on the physical body, gently redirects energy given to overthinking into more constructive channels.  With regular practice, clarity and poise along with improved strength, stamina and mobility are achieved.

We teach ballroom, latin and popular sequence dancing at Farthinghoe Village Hall on Thursday evenings 7.15 - 10.15pm for beginners, intermediate and advanced.
